  • Overview

    Polish all precious metal jewelry pieces to Tiffany & Co. production and quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    • Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor.
    • Perform all steps of the polishing process utilizing the polishing motor on all shapes and sizes of precious metal components and/or finished good jewelry items to meet company quality standards within prescribed production times.
    • Understand and have the ability to perform brushing, felting, split-lap, flexible shaft, 3-M, Grind & Prep, laser welder and dry wheel is essential.
    • Verify the accuracy of work orders and escalate discrepancies and concerns appropriately.
    • Attention to detail and focus on Quality is important in polishing intricate jewelry pieces and maintaining quality standards with production requirements. Limiting inventory failure is necessary while working on a wide range of products.
    • Partner with Polisher III (SME) to problem solve issues, utilization of other tools to ensure quality standards are met and eliminate scrap.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3 + years of experience in polishing precious metal jewelry pieces
    • Polishing knowledge which includes utilization of proper tools and compounds to polish precious metal components and finished goods.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to read and understand blueprints
    • Ability to effectively communicate and read English
    • Ability to work in a team manufacturing environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
