  • Overview

    The Senior Instructional Designer, Global Learning & Development will design, develop, and implement innovative leadership, manager, high-potential development, and luxury retail sales training programs, curriculums, and courseware. This includes conducting needs assessments to identify strategically aligned learning and development initiatives, designing and developing training courseware in a variety of delivery modes (e.g., instructor-led, in-person or virtual training, self-paced training, eLearning, micro learning, etc.), procuring and managing external vendors, as well as measuring business impact and effectiveness of deployed learning solutions. The role requires thought leadership, strategic thinking, leadership presence, expertise in instructional design and highly-effective facilitation skills to influence senior management and engage a diverse global workforce.     • Design innovative curriculums, programs, or learning solutions aligned with strategic priorities, key results, cultural values, and inclusion & diversity.
    • Design impactful instructional material that focuses on skill development and behavior change that will drive business impact.
    • Align learning solutions with course objectives and learner needs.
    • Facilitate discussions that identify customer expectations and help determine the best/right solution to ensure desired outcomes.
    • Ensure the production of quality training courseware for global facilitators and participants of learning programs.
    • Collaborate with others to create prototypes, iterate, and seek feedback from product owners, team members, and stakeholders throughout the design process.
    • Communicate effectively with clarity, credibility, and timeliness.
    • Analyze and select technologies to effectively support engaging delivery for synchronous and asynchronous learning.
    • Partner with the HRIS Shared Services team to plan and implement new learning delivery systems.
    • Measure learning outcomes aligned with business impact; analyze results and communicate to key stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain mutually beneficial internal and external vendor relationships; manage vendor relationships to ensure adoption of external solutions, as intended.
    • Embody a growth mindset and demonstrate the ability to inspire others.


    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience and proven success designing and implementing premier leadership and management development programs; expertise with adult learning theory and instructional design certification a plus.
    • Highly effective facilitation and presentation skills.
    • Highly organized with ability to execute innovative solutions.
    • Self-motivated, accountable, and confident in ability to consult, design, develop, and deliver leadership, manager, high-potential, and luxury retail sales training programs.
    • Experience developing measurement tools and strategies that focus on reaction to learning, knowledge transfer, application on the job, and business impact.
    • Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology and program management with ability to execute effectively.
    • Can effectively manage change and shift gears comfortably; highly effective in ambiguous environments and able to produce maximum results with little direction and guidance.
    • Demonstrated ability to leverage external and internal resources and a people network to execute quickly, effectively, and consistently in a fast-paced business environment.
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills; proven research skills to gather data, best practices, and points of view to ensure sound judgment.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while balancing quality with on-time delivery.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a global environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with and influence people at all levels of the organization.
    • Negotiates well in difficult situations, with a deep sensitivity to cultural and regional differences.
    • Ability to travel, approximately 10% annually.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Instructional design certification.
    • Advanced degree in Instructional Design or curriculum development.
    • Luxury retail industry experience.
    • 360, MBTI, Firo B, Hogan Suite, and other assessment certifications.
