  • Overview

    The Senior Analyst in Global Merchandising Operations will be responsible for the digital go-to-market merchandising strategy for all categories in partnership with management.  This individual will partner with brand, creative and digital commerce teams to help execute marketing campaigns, digital initiatives and external partnerships. S/he will also project manage eCommerce product activations and merchandising operations. 

    Responsibilities

    Campaigns & Digital Initiatives

    • Partner with Brand and Creative teams for marketing campaigns and digital initiatives. Senior Analyst will recommend merchandise to be featured that will highlight priority collections, is aligned with Tiffany & Co.’s brand strategy and will drive sales both in-store and online.
    • Work closely with Product Development and Creative Services teams to ensure merchandise for projects is available for pre-production meetings and principal photography.
    • Review campaign materials at all stages to ensure product strategy and specs are accurately represented in both imagery and copy. Materials include but not limited to: digital layouts, emails, social posts, global learning and development training guides, PR pitching materials & etc.
    • Communicate marketing activations and product visibility to central and regional teams addressing new products, launch dates and strategy updates.

    Project Management – eComm Product Activation

    • Partner with Category Management teams to understand all new product strategy including launch dates, online activation schedules, retails, inventory allocations and material specs. S/he will own the communication of product strategy to cross-functional teams outside of merchandising.
    • Work closely with Analyst to ensure all new products meet online launch dates. Senior Analyst is responsible for prioritizing products for ecommerce photography and copy based on marketing, digital initiatives and partnerships.

    Partnerships

    • Partner with Digital Commerce, Public Relations, Global Sales Operations and Brand Team to execute external partnerships.
    • Prepare product assortment recommendations that meet external partners’ needs and is aligned with Merchandising and Brand priorities by analyzing product portfolio, forecasts/sales and inventory position.
    • Lead product setup on external vendor’s online platform by providing product specs, manufacturing details, eCommerce imagery and eCommerce copy.
    • Work closely with Replenishment and Category Management teams to confirm product availability throughout duration of partnership.

    Merchandising

    • Work closely with the Category Management teams to develop a strong knowledge of the product portfolio, both new and existing styles, to effectively provide merchandising recommendations for all marketing, digital and PR initiatives. Senior Analyst will maintain master Product Plan for Global Merchandising Operations.
    • Communicate new product details, launch dates, online/in-store activation strategies and inventory position to partners outside of merchandising departments.

    Reporting & Analysis

    • Own reporting for all third-party partnerships and digital initiatives. Senior Analyst will be responsible for preparing reports for management review.
    • Prepare ad hoc sales reporting for eCommerce projects.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Advanced in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) with the demonstrated interest to learn new software
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Accurate and attentive to details
    • Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively communicate across multiple levels and functional areas

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or MBA
    • Prior Merchandising or Retail experience, preferably in eCommerce
    • Knowledge of MIPS, APA, TPM, AEM and PMA
