The Jewelry Stone Setter II will possess superior ability and skill to set all types of setting and jeweler work on all precious metals: platinum, gold, silver and rubedo, according with Tiffany & Co. aesthetic and quality standards, while maintaining safety and production standards. A Setter II will create, develop and train new processes and products to other setters in all functions within the organization. All new processes must meet Tiffany & Co. safety and quality standards.
The Setter II will perform all steps of the setting processes masterfully combining the skillset of a jeweler, cast cleaner and stone setter, using proper tools on all stone shapes and sizes of the finished piece to meet Tiffany & Co. quality standards within the prescribed production times and limiting inventory failures. Utilize various stone setting techniques to set diamonds and colored gemstones to include, but not limited to, bead, prong, burnish and bezel.
The Setter II will partner with New Product Engineering and/or Production Test Run Cell to develop setting techniques. Will participate and carry out new product launches to meet strict deadlines by training and transferring skills to other setters, helping with questions or challenging tasks in order to meet quality standards of 94% first pass yield during launch.
