  • Overview

    The Intern of Product Lifecycle Management will execute PLM operations with a focus on providing accurate, complete and properly structured data.  The Intern of PLM will be responsible for processing bill of material requests following the processes outlined by PLM Management.  This individual will also coordinate component creations, bill of material reviews, and the loading of bills into manufacturing systems.  The Intern will create periodic reports to management on the status of the project.

    Responsibilities

    The Intern will support PLM Operations with setup and maintenance of finished good bills of material, adhering to noted service level agreements. S/he will create non-funished good components as required to facilitate finished good bill of material creations and ensure component uniqueness as well as to make sure there are no redundancies built into the component catalog.  S/he will maintain the component catalog as appropriate.

     

     

    The intern will coordinate with Strategic Sourcing and other cross-functional partners to ensure bill of material data integrity and generate regular reports summarizing project accomplishments and challenges.

     

     

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

     

    • Enrolled in four year degree program
    • Prior business/operations experience
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to build relationships and effectively communicate across multiple levels and functional areas
    • Self-motivation and a strong drive for achievement
    • Ability to manage workload amid shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
    • Excellent analytical and PC skills and proficiency with MS Office applications
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Four year degree or comparable experience
    • Systems or process improvement experience
    • Diversified business/operations experience, preferably in a retail or consulting environment
