  • Overview

    The senior analyst’s role is to prepare and further develop analysis to identify JDIW cost, capacity, status, risks, opportunities and trends. This individual will work with JDIW personnel and tools to provide counterparts and management with timely and accurate information for decision making. The senior analyst will communicate and measure JDIW financial activities and liaison with external support organizations. They will ensure accuracy of financial measures including but not limited to cost, budgeting and inventory and will perform and manage quarterly, monthly and ad hoc analysis where required. To support the JDIW goals of data and measurement, the senior analyst will support JDIW management as the "power user" for the rapid cost, collaboration and document management tools.


    Data Integration

    • Work with JDIW tools and cross functional partners in PD, design, Merchandising  and JDIW to plan and record project timelines and data
    • Serve as a project champion for project numbering and data integrity
    • JDIW resource for integrated process and financial review preparation
    • Liaison with manufacturing and cost accounting on facility to facility discrepancies.  Spearhead discovery and resolution of open issues


    Data Analysis 

    • Record and analyze actuals for the development teams to determine such metrics as development ratio, development inventory, development costs, time to market and kill rates
    • Communicate the impact of rate changes communicated by CA
    • Measure rapid and should cost accuracy rate
    • Coordinate and prepare cost analysis for project engineers
    • Analyze supplier development costs and invoices
    • Understand WO variance and scrap dollars and work to minimize
    • Perform inventory and WIP analysis as needed


    • Prepare weekly/monthly capacity reporting
    • Distribute Collaboration tool reporting and integrate with data from JDE and rapid cost as required.
    • Perform comparative studies with “like” product or projects

    Tool Management

    • Serve as the JDIW Administrator for the collaboration (Wrike) and Document Management (Box) tools.  (on-boarding, IT issue resolution, field updates)
    • Administration of rapid cost tool and work with cost accounting to ensure rates are represented accurately
    • Address consistency issues between rapid cost tools and JDE


    • Work with Sr. Director to document and supplement current Merchandise Vendor Manual with:
    •  - Case studies (not for distribution)
    •  - Up to date parameters, examples, criteria, standards
    •          * Legal and safety
    •          * Jewelry workmanship and functionality
    •          * Non-Jewelry workmanship and functionality
    • Work with Sr. Director to document:
    •  - ECN scenarios and actions
    •  - Recall scenarios and actions
    •  - Retail event and training needs, retail support areas of diamond audit, engagement upgrades, merchandise returns and evaluations
    •  - High end event support
    •  - Testing requirement alignment and update
    •  - Anti-counterfeiting
    •  - COORTV involvement


    Required Qualifications

    • Four year degree in a quantitative, engineering or comparable discipline
    • 2 years prior business/operations experience
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to build relationships
    • Self motivated and independent with a drive to seek out information and contacts
    • Ability to manage changing priorities
    • Superior analytical skills
    • Excel and Power-point proficiency: ability to create presentations and reports using Microsoft Suite

    • Jewelry knowledge
    • Previous experience creating metrics packages
