  • Overview

    Perform quality inspections of finished goods at the manufacturing location ensuring all Tiffany & Co. Merchandise Vendor Manual requirements are met. Coordinate flexible appointments for the on-site Inspection Program for specified suppliers. Responsible for timely completion of all data entry in JDE including details of on-site inspection, rejections, and re-sampling data.

    Responsibilities

    Coordinate and execute the on-site Inspection Program for specified suppliers. Inspect merchandise on-site to ensure all products meet Tiffany & Co. standards. Record and publish on-site inspection data.

    Provide vendor communication on unacceptable conditions identified in the field. Provide feedback to QA Management. Support specific needs requested by Jewelry Supply Planning. Publish on-site schedule and provide flexible service for supplier accommodations. Record inspection results and administer disposition of rejected merchandise. Follow through with all required communication and data entry review.  Provide vendor support as needed including efforts beyond the scope of the Vendor Support Inspection program. Participate in all safety training seminars and follow all job safety requirements.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    High School Diploma

    Graduate Gemologist (GIA)

    3 years of Quality Assurance experience

    Ability to inspect diamonds and colored stones set in jewelry

    Ability to work at a high level of efficiency and professionalism without immediate supervision

    Normal color perception required

    Proficient in English; written and oral

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelors or Associates degree

    American Society for Quality Certification

    Fellowship Gemology Association of Great Britain (FGA)
