    Responsibilities

    Work Order Flow Reporting

    • Identify work orders with missing or incorrect transactions and work with inventory control and engineering teams to validate data.
    • Analyze work order variance to understand discrepancies with the standard cost and communicate outcomes via periodic dashboard.
    • Perform all activities related to scrap refining processes including refining transactions, lot reconciliations and monthly summary reports.
    • Toll Accounting oversight of reconciliation process including processing transactional adjustments.

    Inventory Pricing

    • Provide new product costing reviews and communicate updates.
    • Review engineering change notices and correct/update existing cost data.
    • Generate capitalization and expense charges to catalogue recharging activity.

    Other

    • Special projects and analysis as required by Finance Manager and Forest Hill Manufacturing Management team.
    • Support all accounting activities for JDIW (Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop) as required.
    • Collaborates with management to identify accounting variances, recommend and implement solutions.
    • Provide on-the-job training to the Cost Account I position

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • 2-4 years Cost Accounting experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and written
    • Must be willing to work flexible hours during monthly and year-end closings, as well as for special assignments when business needs require

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of JD Edwards system
    • CMA (Certified Management Accountant)
    • CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
