    The Cost Accountant will be responsible for reporting and processing day-to-day U.S. Jewelry Manufacturing cost accounting activity. Work order process flow and reporting including review of variances to identify discrepancies.  Review of period expenses and prepare various journal entries.  The position will manage inventory cycle count process and assist with preparing, analyzing, and reconciling inventory activities as well as report on production output to facility partners in addition to the following:


    Work Order Flow Reporting


    • Provide oversight to the work order process, review work order variances and identify discrepancies throughout the process
    • Through the analysis of variances understand and document main drivers of variances and provide feedback to cost accountants for follow up of issues noted
    • Identify opportunities to increasing efficiency on reporting and closing of work orders across the different facilities and work with other team members on installing dash boards for reporting on work order performance
    Inventory Reporting    
    • Cycle counting support and reconcile GL integrity to book inventory.
    • Provide sample for the daily cycle counts per facility, ensuring all items are covered on quarterly basis, review outcome of cycle counts and document understanding of reasons for main discrepancies if any.
    • Prepare journal entry for posting differences and provide support to the periodic testing of cycle counting for SOX control purposes.

    Financial Reporting

    • Review standard cost sheets in support of ensuring proper valuation of the work order reporting.
    • Generate weekly reports on production output and share update with operating partners in the different locations.
    • Provide input to the monthly closing process in order to validate SVP numbers and volume processed

    As required

    • Assist management with special assignments
    • Collaborate with management to identify accounting variances and recommend solutions



    • BA/BS in Accounting
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software


    • MRP/ERP software exposure
    • Prior Cost Accounting internship/work experience
