    The successful candidate will be responsible for monthly and annual financial closings, management reporting and analysis, and physical inventory control, coordination and reconciliation for all U.S. Jewelry Manufacturing facilities located in Cumberland, RI; Lexington, KY; Pelham, NY; and NYC.  The position will also coordinate and oversee annual standard cost development in addition to the following: 


    Daily transactions & period-end closings

    • Maintain oversight of all necessary journal entries to close the books in accordance with GAAP
    • Complete account reconciliations and ageing (inventory, RNC, in-transit, etc.) as required on monthly/quarterly basis, clearing all open items in a timely manner
    • SOX compliance ensuring the adequacy of controls and perform/review the tests of effectiveness for the relevant controls
    • Complete the quarterly inventory obsolescence review and record entries
    • Daily technical support and guidance for use of JDE ERP system and subsystems
    • Calculate and post the monthly variances deferral and amortizations on product costings & allocations
    • Work order variance review, approval, action steps and closure as required
    • Product cost updates; review and freeze new product and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
    • Ensure accurate posting of expenses through preventative training and detection reviews and correct as required
    • Review the Purchase Price Variance on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and proper release via amortization or entry
    • Accurate recording and reconciliation of the toll accounts and refining recoveries
    • Automation of process flows and reporting for increased efficiency
    • Provide support to the Finance Analytics team when required in support of establishment and follow up of plan, forecast and ad hoc analysis

    Annual confirmations & compliance

    • Annual physical inventory performance, controls and reporting including the monthly cycle counts
    • Periodic fixed asset physical and tagging/labeling requirements, as required
    • As identified or required, support or lead key compliance reporting items; which may include statistical reporting/tax support
    • Support the annual financial audits and any other 3rd party audits, as required
    • Perform the annual standard costs setting process, including the analysis of changes and impact communication

    Reporting support

    • Prepare the monthly variance analysis to support the closing accuracy
    • Prepare and distribute MRI for jewelry manufacturing
    • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly SVP to date vs plan
    • Partner with the operational finance team to ensure adequate information is available to support the advanced analytics
    • Includes annual cost standards revaluations, physical inventory reconciliations and coordination, as well as variance analysis
    • Ad hoc project support and analytics as required

     Staff development

    • Manage department providing training and development




    • BA/BS in Accounting
    • 10+ years of Cost Accounting experience
    • Supervisory and Inventory reconciliation experience
    • MRP experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
    • JD Edwards financial software knowledge
    • MBA (Masters of Business Administration)
    • CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
