  • Overview

    The Silversmith is responsible for performing repairs on Customer Owned Merchandise (COM) orders and personalization, stock and Archived merchandise to meet established timelines and quality standards. The Silversmith will assist the polisher technicians to resolve challenging repairs. The Silversmith will maintain an accurate log of completed orders and communicate the status of assigned repair to the administrative staff and/or management as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform quality repairs on all assigned COM, stock or Archived orders according to Tiffany & Co. production and quality standards.
    • Maintain equipment as needed and act as owner for any issues, and communicate issues to management.
    • Maintain accurate logbook of completed repairs; maintain assigned repair orders in an organized manner; update administrative staff on the status of repairs and production reports. In addition, advise management of areas of concern regarding processing, work capacity and merchandise quality.
    • Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures; following all safety procedures required at the worksite; promptly report all incidents and safety issues to management.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Technical training and/or professional experience as a silversmith for a minimum of 5 years
    • Basic verbal and written English communication skills

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Laser welding knowledge
    • 8 or more years experience as a Silversmith
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in any of the following: Jewelry repair or making, chasing, plating, and metal finishing
