Overview

Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst for Supply Chain applications in Parsippany, NJ. The primary purpose of this position is to gather and document business requirements to support development and enhancements of business applications. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading efforts related to inventory management and procurement, both direct and indirect, to deliver new capabilities and enhancements for Tiffany's supply chain in support of e-commerce/omni-channel initiatives. The candidate will collaborate with various cross-functional business and IT areas to achieve goals. The analyst will elicit and define business requirement, document as-is and to-be business process flows, and analyze and reduce complexities in our processes and systems. The Senior Business Analyst will also manage configuration of the applications, ensure usability, and will support testing by creating test cases and assisting with the quality assurance process. They will be accountable for the success of their projects to include business acceptance, quality, and completeness.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Analyst documents current and to-be process flows to understand and examine business processes, user roles, use cases, edit rules, wireframes and other system specifications in detail. The role conducts requirements sessions with business users and subject matter experts, provides guidance in formulating new requirements and aims to improve business processes by coming up with creative and alternative approaches to solving business problems. Also, the position manages scope and user expectations by ensuring requirements can be met within existing project budgets and timeframes, assists Project Managers in the development of detailed project plans and work assignments, monitors progress to ensure project deliverables are met, tracks progress to plan and communicates status to project team members and management.

 

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for identifying and understanding business strategy, issues and opportunities and assisting business partners in identifying and prioritizing new initiatives and capabilities. The role will also assist in developing test cases, and participates in the quality assurance process to ensure that requirements are properly implemented, assist in producing user training documentation and works with the business to train users. Lastly, the Senior Business Analyst works and/or leads efforts with other IT groups and/or business users to ensure business requirements are met, including problem resolution and systems testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 to 6 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role
  • Experience in e-commerce/omni-channel supply chain required
  • JDE E1 experience (Inventory Planning, Procurement, Distribution) preferred
  • Expertise with Supply Chain and inventory management systems and processes
  • Experience in retail management systems and processes
  • Demonstrated experience documenting use cases and functional requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with procurement processes and tools as well as procure-to-pay process ideal
  • Project Management Professional – PMP Certified a plus
  • Expected to travel up to 25%
