Tiffany & Co. is seeking an IT Manager, Retail Innovation out of our New York City offices. The IT Manager, Retail Innovation is responsible for planning, organizing and leading the work necessary to ensure smooth operation of retail technology initiatives. This includes bringing a strong understanding of program management best practices and ensuring they are applied consistently. The Manager is called upon to ensure the quality of deliverables of retail foundational and innovation initiatives as member of the core project team. This includes helping teams develop and test effective hypotheses in order to make informed recommendations with clearly defined business requirements for retail initiatives, projects and innovation experiments


The IT Manager, Retail Innovation will serve as the day to day liaison between the retail PMO (Project Management Office) and IT PMO for alignment of new projects with strategic foundational initiatives. The role will work with the program leadership team in delivery of the overall program, as well as supporting the activities of the PMO and the other major work streams (e.g. Innovation, Foundation, Employee Experience, etc.). As the program develops and specific large projects are outlined, the Manager will serve as a lead and on select projects, seeing them through development and implementation, raise issues with Retail & IT PMO leadership (as identified) that may affect the quality of delivery or timelines.


This position will take ownership for coordinating and driving issue resolution, lead the development of leadership presentations and other documents as necessary to support the PMO and key work streams, and take ownership for maintaining the program IT-related budget. S/he will ensure strong financial controls are in place and that funds are used and forecasted appropriately, and support market and technology research, business requirements definition and other ad-hoc analysis required to support the successful execution of innovation experiments, POCs and Pilots. Lastly, the role will provide leadership and guidance to other PMO resources as required.


  • 7+ years of experience working as a business or IT analyst with 5+ years in project management 
  • 5+ years of related consulting and industry experience demonstrating a history of successful project management 
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities, able to synthesize findings and recommendations in a clear and direct manner. 
  • Advanced data management and data modeling skills. 
  • Ability to come up to speed quickly and understand the technology and operations issues within the luxury retail sector. 
  • The ability to effectively operate independently and in a consensus driven team environment. 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proven leader with demonstrated experience leading small to medium sized high impact consulting and project teams. 
  • Extremely collaborative working style, built on building consensus as opposed to mandating outcomes. 
  • Highly entrepreneurial with the ability to work independently 
  • Seasoned risk taker that knows how to drive results in an agile way, failing fast and adjusting strategy as required by the situation. 
  • Problem solver, not an order taker with a strong bias towards taking accountability for recommendations and outcomes 
  • Servant based leadership style, willing to roll-up sleeves and contribute to the success of the entire team 


Preferred Experience:

  • An MBA or other relevant advanced degree from a top educational institution
  • Agile experience as a Certified Scrum Master and/or Certified Product Owner
  • Product Management experience
  • Collaborating with design and creative teams 
  • Experience with Design Thinking methodology
