Tiffany and Company has openings for Engineers at its newly launched Jewelry Design and Innovation Workshop (JDIW).  Centrally located on East 23rd Street in New York City, the position offers a dynamic work environment and use of cutting edge technology to inspire the creation of meticulously crafted products that encompass the exceptional beauty of Tiffany jewelry. 

Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, Planning and Gemologists to ensure a unified and sustainable new product development channel.  Lead engineering projects to achieve on-time delivery and manufacturability of product development.  Collect, validate, analyze, apply and achieve all product data management information. 



  • Lead a cross-functional project team of Engineers, Model Makers, CAD Designers, and Quality Assurance to develop designs into fully manufacturable products.
  • Provide technical leadership related to general engineering and manufacturing across JDIW and suppliers, ensuring execution and alignment between development and production.
  • Lead phase gated technical reviews, ensuring design verification/validation and alignment of Critical Requirement documentation, prototypes, CAD models and drawings and manufacturing requirements.
  • Oversee the accuracy and completion of project time-lines, CAD models and drawings, product and tooling estimated costs. Mitigate risk. Provide agile and effective problem solving, as required.
  • Accurately and expediently measure, collect, analyze, present and communicate data and comparative documents to support the design, prototype fabrication and transition to manufacturing of new product.
  • Take full ownership and make correct decisions, based on the appropriate level of information. Identifying and obtaining information, as needed.
  • Provide clear, consistent and timely project status updates detailing progress, issues/concerns and solutions.
  • Nurture a close working partnership with cross-functional colleagues to ensure that the design intent is expressed in the finished product.
  • System entry and verification of all product related data and project requirements, including but not limited to Bill of Material/Route, cost and work instructions, adhering to SOPs and best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, Mechanical preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience
  • Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks, Rhino, or equivalent)
  • Project and document management experience from concept to launch
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Experience or training in statistical process analysis
  • Ability to understand, communicate and create technical manufacturing documentation
