Overview

The Associate Learning Specialist partners with the Learning Specialist(s), the Training Manager and the Distribution team to develop, educate and reinforce training curriculum to the staff to achieve optimal business results. The Associate Learning Specialist is responsible for training new hires, cross-training existing staff and providing refresher training. Additional responsibilities include coaching staff to drive compliance to best practices and quality metrics.

Responsibilities

Course Facilitation:

  • Partner with the Learning Specialist, Training Manager and Distribution management to develop course content to include classroom, e-learning and on-the-job training.
  • Schedule training classes through communication with management to ensure little to no impact to business during training.
  • Train new hires and cross-train existing employees across all Distribution Associate models.
  • Facilitate both instructor-led and virtual classroom/webinar sessions.
  • Facilitate in-class simulations and activities to assess learning retention.
  • Frequently interact with staff to validate methods and performance. 

Training Administration:

  • Track progress and maintain records using company approved software (currently Microsoft Excel).
  • Prepare training pre-work, files, paperwork and post-work.
  • Schedule and coordinate audio, video and other training sessions.
  • Review, coordinate and respond to department mailbox.
  • Provide training progress updates to Training Manager and management.
  • Partner with Training Manager and/or management for analysis of the learning content, implementation strategies, global audiences and industry trends regarding learning and evaluation.

Learning Management System:

  • Data entry, reporting and problem solving as it relates to the Tiffany Learning Management System. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
  • Create/edit/delete course content
  • Enroll staff and set-up auto-enrollments as required
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Maintain the course catalog
  • Troubleshoot e-learning access and completion issues

Communication:

  • Provide feedback from current training practices to improve course materials
  • Create visual aids or other materials to facilitate learning retention

 

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • BA/BS degree or relevant work experience
  • 2+ years training and development/adult education experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Strong consultative service skills.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, a self-starter, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • •Ability to work evenings and a flexible schedule at times.    

Preferred:

  • Learning Management System administration experience
  • Distribution experience
  • Luxury training experience
