Overview

Main objectives of the Global Sales Operations (GSO) Operational Shared Services Team are to 1) create conditions that maximize productivity through operational excellence, development of selling capabilities and staff optimization and 2) ensure store staff are equipped with the right tools and know-how to consistently deliver a stellar client experience and support the omni-channel offerings of a luxury retailer.  The team will lead and provide operational guidance on projects across all sales channels (Retail, Trade, DM/ E-Commerce) in each of the regions with the goal of optimizing sales opportunities, operational efficiency, and profitability. 

 

This position will serve as retail business Manager of operational excellence and retail projects (including delivery of consultative services to markets to maximize store productivity, drive process improvements and to elevate store network efficiency in partnership with corporate/regional/market teams, and global standardization of retail policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Serve as the centralized point of contact for global projects, influencing cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Maintain strategic oversight and set direction for development of short-/mid-range plans and ensure project milestones are met on operational excellence and retail projects such as:
    • Providing ongoing consultative services to markets to maximize store productivity is aligned with market needs
    • Drive process improvements to elevate store-wide network efficiency. 
    • Collaborate with corporate/regional/market teams creating and maintaining global standardization of retail policies and standard operating procedures.  

Global Retail Expertise:

  • Provide global retail expertise on cross functional initiatives providing recommendations including synopsis of benefits, risks and alternatives.
  • Build relationships across the global retail network and key functional partners within market to ensure understanding and alignment of the needs of the business.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and evolve processes.

Functional Alignment:

  • Closely partner with rest of Global Sales Operations Team.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment between Retail Foundation and other projects, programs and initiatives impacting the retail business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent at a minimum
  • 6+ years of work experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in project management or retail operations
  • Ability to influence other departments and leaders
  • High degree of comfort with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Strong communications skills (written, verbal, presentation)

Preferred:

  • Experience working with global teams
  • Foreign language a plus
