Responsible for maintaining and repairing all material handling equipment. (i.e. conveyors, automatic retrieval system, carousels, lifts, cranes, etc.), assist with repairs and maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatics. Performs all specs of maintenance on the HVAC system and related equipment, Waste Process systems, RO Plant & Water Softeners, Compressed Air systems, Ware-washers and general facility equipment. Routinely conduct building inspections and maintain life safety and emergency systems. (Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Emergency Generator systems etc) Must know how to work with different types of testing equipment. Maintain a safe attitude at work and behave in a safe manner to prevent accidents and injuries. Strictly adhere to all safe operating procedures as described by your supervisor and through safety training programs. Identify and communicate possible corrective actions to eliminate or reduce safety hazards to your supervisor, the health and safety committee and/or occupational safety.




Facilities Operations:

Preventative Maintenance and repairs on HVAC system and related equipment, Material Handling Equipment, Waste Process systems, RO Plant & Water Softeners, Compressed Air systems, and general facility equipment. Oversee the installation of the material handling equipment and M.E.P. projects. Provide daily report of assigned work tickets status, material and parts usage from inventory and work performed to the Facilities Dispatcher. Maintain parts inventory and order required material as required to complete assignments



Troubleshoot Material handling equipment, and performing scheduled maintenance and cleaning on various equipment (i.e. conveyors, automatic retrieval system, carousels, lifts, cranes, etc.) Preventative maintenance on all equipment to meet the manufacturing requirements and regulatory compliance. Perform equipment repairs on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as is pertains to various equipment (i.e. HVAC units, conveyors, water heaters, compressors, dust collectors, steam generators, exhaust fans, ice machines, dishwashers, ultrasonic generators, refrigerators ,cafeteria equipment and etc.) to meet internal user needs and requests.


Standards / Best Practices / Continuous Improvement:

Test and inspect all emergency and life safety systems to meet NFPA, OSHA, and all agency standards and log readings: (boilers, compressors, dust collectors, steamer generators, exhaust fans, etc.). Align facilities activities which support strategic Corporate Sustainability programs.

Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, as well as all safety procedures required at your work-site. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor. Utilization of proper personal protective equipment and tools needed for completing work in an appropriate and safe manner. Install and maintain equipment and supplies to support the safety of the operations. Employ safe working postures and material handling techniques to avoid injury. Report all hazardous conditions, behaviors, workplace accidents, injuries and/or near misses to your supervisor.




Secure Building:

Responsible for holding the building key and alarm code 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Also responsible for opening and closing the facility at the correct time with proper coverage and as per the written SOP. Placing the fire panel offline by calling the alarm company when Security is not available as per the written SOP.


Required Qualifications:


  • 8 to 10 years experience in the related fields
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Projects.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (both written and orally) with employees of all levels.
  • Must be a self-motivated and customer service oriented.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and work well under pressure in a fast paced rapidly changing environment.
  • Knowledge of PLC and how to utilize them to troubleshoot problems.
  • The ability to use electronic testing equipment, hand and power tools.
  • High school graduate with technical/vocational training in related fieldsComplete daily work orders and reporting as per departmental guidelines
  • Must be flexible with regards to work schedule. Must be available for overtime and extended  shift  start and end hours to support operations.  Weekend hours required to support the business, equipment repairs and projects beyond the regular work schedule.
  • Some night shift work may be required to supervise night activities
  • Required to work from Thanksgiving to Christmas 7 days per week as needed
  • Individual is required to respond to building emergencies. 24/7.
  • Valid driver licence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read blue prints, specifications and maintenance manuals.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop a team atmosphere.
  • Use various types of lifts: Skyjack lift, material-handling equipment such as forklift and hand pallet truck.
  • Knowledge of Auto cad a plus.
