The Engineering Supervisor provides supervision of the Internal Manufacturing Engineering Services group.  Distributes projects to the Development Cell Team, Model Technicians, and interns, and manages the groups effectiveness of project execution and deliverable completion.  Manage the development of technical document functions:  Drawings, Bill of Materials, Videos for training, Process Flow Charts, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Intructions, Manufacturing Process Routings, Business Operating Procedures, Project Plans, and others.  Develop business processes and systems where required.  Assist Director of Engineering with metric data compilation and presentation preparation.  Provide staff mentoring and development to strengthen the Engineering Services group's capabilities.


  • Provide manufacturing process expertise/direction in the development/qualification/launch of new products to ensure cost effective manufacturability at TCO quality levels.  Provide engineering leadership among co-worker

  • Supervise the Engineering Services Staff addressing individual business needs while overseeing project and daily activities.  Provide staff scheduling, project assignment, mentoring and development performance management (PMP)

  • Lead process improvement projects that drive substantial reductions in processing time, and quality failures (scrap and rework) to be replicated across all internal manufacturing.  Project metrics shall include projected positive financial impact resultant from the project, defect reduction and first pass yield improvement. Provide engineering leadership among co-workers

  • Assess, Project Plan and execute Corrective Action Requests (CARs) focused on the elimination of root causes to ensure validated/sustainable corrective action results. Provide engineering leadership among co-workers.

  • Execute technology driven solutions in order at attain fundamental process and systems improvements improving manufacturing work flow, reducing manufacturing cost, or increasing manufacturing capacity, improving first pass yield (reducing defects, scrap, rework). Provide engineering leadership among co-workers



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or Technical discipline, or, 10 years equivalent related experience
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in new product development process 
  • Extensive Project Management skills (MS Project, other)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills (specifically Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio and Access)
  • Highly organized and capable of managing a group with an extensive number of active projects

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Project Management Certification
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards or other enterprise system(s)
  • CAD (AutoCad, Rhino, SolidWorks, other) knowledge a plus
