Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a IT Functional Manager to support our Supply Chain and Manufacturing automation systems in Parsippany, New Jersey. This role will function as the primary IT partner for the manufacturing business teams, delivering factory level technology solutions.


The Functional/Project Manager will oversee/manage the daily execution of activities across numerous project tracks/work streams (e.g., estimation, scoping, build, deployment, budget, staffing, vendor management), including integrating business and IT work efforts, as well as integrating IT staff and 3rd party service provider work efforts.  S/He will develop[ and lead program schedules/plans for select work streams in support of the Diamond and Jewelry Manufacturing teams.  Work streams include  the implementation of new application capabilities in support of connected factory and IIoT, analytics  as well as  coordination of work streams executed by other IT applications and Infrastructure teams and the management of key supplier relationships.  


The Project Manager is responsible for participating in the delivery and ensuring the quality of core project management deliverables, including but not limited to program/project charter, project schedules, RAID logs and status reports.  Similarly, this position will be responsible for reviewing developed materials submitted by the project team in accordance with an agreed upon acceptance procedures and the MSA/SOW, as applicable.  S/He will execute effective project management control activities including: scope change control, issue resolution, risk management, status reporting, project budget management with focus on specific work streams of the project. 


Effective partnership with both business team leaders and IT team leaders will be a critical success factor in this role.  


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Management
  • Must have a strong project management  background
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in and/or leading complex or multi-stream projects
  • Experience in a supply chain/Manufacturing   technology environment is required
  • Functional project management expertise (e.g., issue/risk resolution, dependency identification, financial tracking, scheduling, resource management, capacity planning)
  • Experience with traditional “waterfall” methodologies, as well as experience with more iterative/agile project management methods
  • Experience with formal SDLC processes and a track record to drive SDLC improvements to accelerate project deliverables
  • Strong communications skills; must be able to communicate technical issues in business terms so that leadership can evaluate options and make sound decisions
  • Structured problem solving skills; ability to identify high-impact issues/risk for escalation/review
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of PPM and other project management tools (examples - MS Project, ServiceNow).      
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (esp PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
