Overview

Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking an Income Tax Consolidations Supervisor.  The Supervisor will be an integral part of the Company's global tax accounting function and will partner with the U.S. Tax department and finance leaders around the world to consolidate the Company’s global tax provision.  The Supervisor will work closely with the Company’s FP&A team and Tax leadership to provide timely ETR and balance sheet forecast updates.  The Supervisor will provide support to the Company’s other income tax department functions, i.e. compliance, research, audits and special projects.   

Responsibilities

The Supervisor will lead the preparation, review and consolidation of the Company’s global tax provision in accordance with US GAAP, ASC 740, FIN 48 and FIN 18 for both quarterly and annual financial statement filings.  The Supervisor will work with the external auditors in support of the quarterly reviews and annual audit and with the external reporting team to support the Company’s 10-Q and 10-K filings.

 

The Supervisor will research and document the technical tax accounting implications of proposed or completed business transactions in order to ensure proper financial statement presentation.  The Supervisor will work with the U.S. accounting team to monitor, assess and communicate the tax accounting implications of proposed ASC changes.

 

The Supervisor will provide review support for the U.S. compliance function, including federal and state tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions. 

 

The Supervisor may support income tax audits conducted by US and foreign tax authorities. This includes working with tax management team regarding audit matters and presenting positions, as needed, to the relevant authorities. 

Qualifications

To be qualified for this position you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of Income Tax Accounting, U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, and planning experience
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Strong tax accounting skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Contribute a positive, team oriented work environment

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • CPA and/or MST
  • 5+ years in either Big 4 or at a large MNC is desired
  • Retail and/or manufacturing experience
  • Systems experience with JDE, OneSource (OIT, OTP), HFM, Business Objects
