Overview

The Analyst, Product Development will support the operational activities associated with all new product initiatives. He/She will communicate and interact effectively with cross-functional counterparts to assist in the facilitation of each development stage, managing new product samples and supporting approval milestones. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Sample Asset Management, Reporting on Project Milestones and general support for Manager(s) during the development of new products. 

Responsibilities

Sample Management

Responsibilities for the Analyst role include sample management:  inbound and outbound tracking through Inventory Control, timely close out of invoices, inventory management with IC on year end and random audits in addition to daily maintenance of the sample room.  He/She will coordinate all sample borrows including Marketing, PR, CVM, Global Ed and the JRDC.  The Analyst will be responsible for product setup to support all internal meetings.   

 

Communication

Reporting/Meeting Recaps

Other responsibilities include monthly reporting that will be shared with Senior Management and cross functional teams.  The reports will focus on summarizing the current status of all projects within the department.  He/She will coordinate the agendas and recaps for department-led cross functional meetings.   The Analyst will assist with updating project detail documents to support development responsibilities and coordinating the upload of summary files to the SharePoint site. 

 

Project Management

The Analyst will assist the team with the development of line extensions and business continuity projects.  This includes the management of project detail documents, supplier communication, cost tracking, cross-function communication, movement of stones and ownership of the systematic sign-off process. 

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate college degree and 2-4 years prior Merchandising or Retail experience preferably in a luxury branded product. He/She will have experience and a continued interest in Project Management systems and an ability to map out workflows. In addition, the candidate will have analytical experience in building/presenting development information in multiple formats using internal systems and excel. It is imperative to be accurate and attentive to details, in addition to analyzing the broader scope of the initiative/project. The candidate must have strong organizational and follow through skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet shifting deadlines.

 

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of product development manufacturing process, merchandise information systems and Tiffany & Co. Operations.  Basic Gemstone knowledge and a Graduate Gemologist degree is a plus.
