Overview

Manage the store opening process/preparations in support of new stores (and closings), relocations and renovations within the Northern America/Latin America regions by partnering with Central Organization and Local teams. Identify process improvements related to store opening planning and streamline the process across all regions in partnership with Central Organization. In support of Global Initiatives set forth by Senior Management, partner with Global Sales Operations (GSO) Director and VP in managing key aspects of project ensuring company strategy is met.

Responsibilities

Cross-functional Project Management:

  • Lead store opening preparations through partnerships with key cross-functional teams (Store Design & Planning, Facilities, Merchandising, CVM, PR, Distribution, Supply Management, Customer Service, Marketing, IT, Security). 
  • Initiate action and promote ownership of the planning required by teams internally to ensure that all logistical requirements are considered and planned for in order to meet key milestone dates identified throughout the project schedule. (including merchandise shipments, supplies, collateral, etc..)
  • Manage store set up teams roles and responsibilities both remotely and on site in support of new stores (closings), relocations and renovations from the start to the completion of the project.
  • In partnership with GSO Store Development management team, lead monthly store project update meeting held with internal teams and advise teams on project status and outline tasks that need to be completed to meet target opening dates from a planning standpoint. 
  • Partner with GSO Director and NA/LA market leaders to ensure checklist requirements are reviewed with GSO for submission to Design to move the store design planning process forward. 
  • Recommend, develop, and deploy process improvements for the GSO new store opening/relocation/renovation processes, in addition to collaborating with markets and internal groups to proactively problem solve.

 

Global Initiatives:

  • Manage global initiatives identified by senior management through project management in partnership with Director and VP. 
  • Manage tasks of those from other teams ensuring roles and responsibilities associated with project goal are achieved throughout the planning process.
  • Collaborate with key internal teams to streamline the design planning process in support of Customer Service Strategy and other requirements to create consistent planning globally. 

 

Leadership

  • Lead with and encourage passion, dedication and urgency, while managing (indirectly) and coaching others within the GSO team.
  • Identify workable solutions that meet both the immediate and longer term needs by partnering with internal teams to reach the common goal.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

5-10 years work experience, preferably within the retail or retail luxury industry.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience managing cross-functional project management on a global scale with a range of cultural and regulatory nuances.

Demonstrated ability to influence and mange without direct authority.

Ability to prioritize and multi task.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software including: Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point

Ability to travel

 

Preferred qualifications:

Familiarity with AS 400 and Business Objects

Fluency in a foreign language, plus
