  • Overview

    Tiffany & Company is currently seeking a Director - Infrastructure Architect in Parsippany, New Jersey.  The Director - Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for enterprise level technical planning and optimization across all Tiffany & Co. platforms. This individual will primarily be responsible for IT Infrastructure portfolio in collaboration with other technical teams including Application Development, Platform Services, Network Services, Support Services, etc.  

    Responsibilities

    The Director - Infrastructure Architect will lead the development, prepare recommendations and secure approval for the global infrastructure architecture and its portfolio.  S/He will serve as the cross-platform technical subject matter expert and provide consulting support to IT Leadership and end-user organizations.  This position will manage and maintain the enterprise, global Infrastructure portfolio of solutions, standards, and capabilities in cooperation with other architectural teams in the organization.

     

    The Director will produce and maintain timely, accurate engineering documentation to support implementation, operations support and quality/compliance requirements while having primary ownership of the Environmental Steering Group and the Infrastructure Review Board for all global Tiffany & Co. technology.  S/He will be a key contributor to the Tiffany & Co. cloud strategy in collaboration with peer architects in other key IT organizations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Management
    • 10+ years experience in the core disciplines of Infrastructure and Operations in a global, public company: Server, Storage, Network/Telecom, Cloud, etc.
    • Ability to collaborate and produce advanced and detailed documentation to include (but not be limited to): high level solutions designs, solution designs, data flow diagrams, high-level network designs, high-level systems design, operational model designs, security designs, firewall rule requests, network and server/operating system selection, configuration recommendations, access management configurations, middleware designs, application development recommendations and tools recommendations
    • Extensive knowledge and expertise in cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, etc.)
    • Ability to manage and maintain the process that designs and defines the architecture standards in Infrastructure and Operations
    •  Excellent communication skills, highly-collaborative
    • Organized and detail oriented
    • Ability to multi-task and manage competing needs and customers

    • Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills, establishing & maintaining trust with individuals at various levels of internal and partner organizations
    • Experience working with Senior IT leadership in a strategic context
    • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships
    • Experience in document and enforcing technical standards and cross-train members of the various teams to ensure long term stability, performance, and scalability
    • Ability to provide expert guidance and technical expertise in a wide variety of infrastructure-related topics, including storage, server, network, database, and client technologies, to aid in technology direction and purchasing decisions 

    Preferred Qualifications Include:

    • M.S. Computer Science or Technology/Business related
    • Expertise in private/hybrid cloud architecture
    • Experience in enterprise system performance mechanics (monitoring, scaling, etc.)
    • ITIL (v2/v3) certification
    • Industry participation and understanding with vendor panels, publications, steering committees, customer advisories, etc.
    • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic environment
