Overview

The Reporting Analyst – Global Sustainability supports the Tiffany & Co. Global Sustainability Department in all areas of corporate, investor and internal sustainability reporting.  The Analyst will play an integral role in the collection, analysis and sharing of CSR-related metrics with internal and external stakeholders to help drive sustainability performance. The Analyst will be an administrator of Tiffany & Co.’s sustainability data collection tool, and ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate both creative and analytical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

CSR Reporting

  • Support the development of the annual Sustainability Report, serving as a day-to-day point of contact for key Marketing functions, in line with the GRI and UN Global Compact.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks, providing an assessment and review of Tiffany reporting in comparison to these existing and emerging frameworks.
  • Draft accurate content and facilitate the collection of information and review of the report, with internal subject matter experts, ensuring the quality and timeliness of written materials.
  • Perform reviews of the CSR report with a critical eye, for consistency and accuracy.
  • Maintain organized and thorough tracking of sources, feedback and approvals from both internal and external stakeholders.

CSR Metrics

  • Support the day-to-day relationship with external auditors/reviewers of data for annual sustainability report (i.e., PwC).
  • Serve as an administrator of the sustainability software data collection tool (cr360). This includes, but is not limited to: maintaining data integrity and system functionality, overseeing system preparations for audit and reporting, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize system performance and incorporate enhanced, streamlined tools for data collection.
  • Serve as a contact for employees to provide training and perform minor troubleshooting on the sustainability software system.
  • Effectively and accurately collect, analyze and report on audit-ready CSR metrics.
  • Synthesize trends and information into reports and graphs with excellent attention to detail; develop case studies built on solid metrics; help identify opportunities to improve or scale solutions.
  • Create compelling, evidence based written and visual summaries of sustainability performance for both internal and external audiences, including dashboards, scorecards, slide decks and reports.
  • Work with the Assistant Manager and cross-functional business partners to refine data collection methodologies, continuously improve, and proactively integrate sustainability metrics throughout the business.

Communication

  • With the Manager, serve as a main point of contact for Marketing, Corporate Communications, Internal Communications and Global Education on sustainability and philanthropy related communications.
  • Review and validate the accuracy of Tiffany sustainability communications, in alignment with the CSR Report and website.
  • Develop, review and edit reports, presentations, and other formal and informal CSR communications for Management.
  • Maintain template presentation library, images, and media files in an organized fashion.
  • Identify and prioritize stakeholder questionnaires and surveys. Contribute to the development and review of Tiffany responses to surveys from investors, suppliers and NGOs such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
  • Provide support for department management’s speaking engagements, presentations and media opportunities, including but not limited to drafting talking points, developing presentations, or preparing background research.
  • Develop and maintain department intranet site.

Industry Knowledge and Field Research

  • Perform research and benchmarking on relevant sustainability topics. Synthesize and clearly communicate findings and recommendations for Management.
  • Maintain and share understanding of leading trends, changes in corporate social responsibility and external issues of importance.
  • Monitor and benchmark reporting trends and changes to reporting standards such as GRI, UN Global Compact and other global frameworks to provide insights and recommendations on advancing Tiffany’s external reporting practices.
  • Support other sustainability programs as needed.

Administrative

  • Maintain well-organized personal and departmental files.
  • Assist with project coordination including scheduling, task management and meeting planning.
  • Process invoices, prepare mail and shipments, and perform other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably analyzing and reporting on sustainability performance.
  • Must be passionate about corporate responsibility / social and environmental sustainability.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven analytical and statistical skills. Must be able to identify anomalies, trends and stories from large, complex data sets and distill the information and takeaways for key audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex subject matter in a clear and compelling manner
  • Experience working in database programs, including serving as a system administrator. (experience with cr360 a plus)
  • Research experience and strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting needs.
  • Experience being productive in a fast-paced team
  • Demonstrated ability to work at both a very technical and big-picture strategic level
  • Industry knowledge and experience in corporate social responsibility reporting or metrics data collection.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail required.
  • Organized, flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to work under pressure on competing responsibilities with resilience, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Unquestionable integrity and tireless work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong design aesthetic and ability to use advanced data visualization tools
  • Ability to perform advanced business analytics, including advanced Excel skills
