    Tiffany & Co. is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for Global Store Development based in New York, NY.  The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the strategic sourcing process and total cost of acquisition for their assigned categories and commodities. The position is responsible for developing global category strategy and deep category analysis. This includes the development of annual savings and productivity commitments that are included with the Companies Annual Operating Plan. Operationally, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supplier capacity reporting, supplier performance management including score carding and corrective action. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist collaborates with team members and is the point of escalation for supplier production status reporting when ex-factory and delivery dates are inconsistent with project milestone requirements.


    Supplier Management:

    • Build and leverage partnerships with preferred suppliers. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with all strategic partners as a means to engage and improve performance; Develop global category strategies and present to key stakeholders
    • Manage the total cost of acquisition inclusive of Cost, Quality and Service; Measure supplier performance including the development of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
    • Audit suppliers and ensure vendor compliance per Company policy and social accountability standards; Implement Master Services Agreements for all strategic suppliers. Negotiate individual Statements of Work, as required. Collaborate with legal counsel
    • Analyze and evaluate vendor capacity and raise any potential risk to Management. Provide viable alternatives; Manage all supplier corrective action working closely with the Manager, Quality Assurance; Closely monitor production status
    • Evaluate vendor’s adherence to quality standards and deliverables in conjunction with Production Planning and Quality Management
    • Effectively communicate gaps in execution, non-adherence to standards and shop drawings and implement corrective action plans
    • Execute all required vendor documents: non-disclosure agreements, company profile and Tiffany Code of Conduct
    • Manage data integrity as it relates to production lead-time, order minimums, and production allocation


    Procurement Operations:

    • Escalate to suppliers when delivery dates and other deliverables are not consistent with approved project timelines
    • Strategize with vendors on missed dates and resolve issues. Understand root cause and implement corrective action
    • Work closely with the Director, APAC Procurement to coordinate operational support required in the Region when evaluating/qualifying new suppliers and conducting negotiations


    Cost Savings:

    • Utilize negotiation skills and analytical expertise to deliver measurable multi-year cost savings and cost avoidance
    • Work closely with Procurement leadership to evaluate and qualify new global suppliers
    • Transition high cost suppliers to lower cost providers within the framework of lowering the total cost of acquisition
    • Incorporate best in class supply chain practices into all strategic sourcing initiatives


    Market Evaluation:

    • Continuously evaluate the supply market
    • Identify new opportunities for innovation within assigned categories
    • Manage contractual pricing by managing exchange rate fluctuations
    • Monitor shifts in business conditions and new areas for low cost production


    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or supply management
    • 4 to 6 years of exceptional category and procurement experience, preferably in the retail sector
    • Global business acumen
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
    • Strong negotiating ability with contract experience
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with suppliers
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, as well as report writing skills
    • Master’s degree, CPM or similar designation is ideal
