Overview

The Business Development Representative is responsible for performing activities against strategic accounts and prospects designed to develop strategic opportunities for our outside sales team. The position also covers strategic territories due to open positions or medical leaves. They will engage new and existing business prospects and develop leads by positioning the Tiffany brand and maximizing the potential of each strategic relationship.

Responsibilities

Strategic Lead Generation

  • Conduct outbound call campaigns with the objective of creating qualified leads for the account executives. This can include setting up an initial meeting between the client and the account executives.
  • Research potential clients by utilizing company provided information tools and other websites in order to  obtain current and comprehensive company information.
  • Position the features and benefits of all Tiffany & Co. product and brand initiatives including Tiffany Distinctions® in order to develop qualified strategic leads.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of top industries and needs within those industries in order to develop sales opportunities.
  • Accurately enter all client information into company systems including Salesforce.com, AS400 and KANA. Log, track and maintain client contact and contact records.
  • Consistently achieve performance objectives. The performance objectives are designed to increase strategic leads, new accounts and revenue.
  • Deliver customer service excellence through words and actions; engage every customer in an interaction that results in the highest level of customer satisfaction.      

Strategic Open Territory Support

  • Support open strategic territories by effectively executing the territory strategy which includes working with the territory’s market manager.
  • Territory support will include calling accounts, creating proposals that meet the opportunity objectives, winning repeat opportunities, discovering and winning new opportunities
  • Accurately update the territory sales forecast in Salesforce.com and deliver forecasted sales.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and work with Sales Service to ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Accurately enter all client information into company systems including Salesforce.com, AS400 and KANA. Log, track and maintain client contact and contact records.

 

Qualifications

  • Two years prospecting or outbound call center experience
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize appropriately
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Salesforce
