The Director - Change Management will oversee the strategic direction and execution of change management for Tiffany & Co.  The role will support critical global process and system change initiatives with a primary focus on the multi-year Retail Foundation initiative, with the objectives of maximizing employee readiness, the effectiveness of adoption, while mitigating barriers to these objectives. The Director Change Management will provide expert consultation to key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. senior leaders, project sponsor, project managers, other stakeholders, external consultants) to build organizational awareness, support and to achieve the targeted change benefits. Outside of the Retail Foundation initiative, a key objective for  this role will be building a sustainable internal change management capability within Tiffany, including identifying the best use of internal/external resources.


Change Management:

  • Lead the development and execution of the Retail Foundation change management work plan across all core Change Management activities, including:
    • COMMUNICATIONS: Execute and enhance existing communication plan, including tailoring the plan for each market implementation
    • SPONSORSHIP: leadership support and coaching, stakeholder engagement, Identifying and managing local CM lead and change champion networks
    • TRAINING: partner with Global Systems Training and Retail Foundation Center of Excellence on the approach and curriculum for end-user training
    • CHANGE READINESS: Monitor on an ongoing basis through readiness surveys and feedback from local CM lead. Support role mapping as needed.
  • Support the Retail Foundation transformation over the next 3-4 years by utilizing existing change management strategies, methodologies, plans and materials and continuing to refine and enhance them.
  • Influence key stakeholders to adopt CM strategy and implement plan
  • Build change management competency, capability, and sustainable change management center of excellence for Tiffany & Co.


Vendor Management and Internal Consulting:

  • Partner with external resources to assess change impacts and risks, develop and execute on a comprehensive change strategy and plan for all market implementations
  • Partner closely with the Project Team and PMO to integrate change management activities into existing project plans
  • Provide global education and coaching on CM
  • Build and manage a strong network of change agents across regions, functions and levels
  • Provide ongoing consulting to sponsors, project managers,  or designated change leads for various critical changes being implemented (e.g. JRDC, COMPASS)
  • Build and maintain a network of external change management partners across geographies and industries to ensure objective standards and industry comparisons


Analytics and Reporting:

  • Perform stakeholder analysis to determine needs and priorities of key stakeholder groups to mitigate risks
  • Measure and track progress of change management activities to share impact on project results
  • Provide timely and accurate status reports of change management activities and identification of risks to business sponsors and project leaders
  • Assess program opportunities for future change management global programs
  • Measure change management impact annually and report findings to SVP CHRO.
  • Global Organizational Effectiveness (GOE) - Strategy Execution
  • Partner with the VP and Directors in GOE to execute on organization-wide strategic initiatives and specifically provide consulting based on change management expertise
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively within the team and with other key business partners (e.g. HR Business partners) to further the goals and the brand of the Global Organizational Effectiveness team
  • Provide insight, advice and assistance to business leaders, HR partners, and designated change leads responsible for delivering changes
  • Contribute large-scale GOE initiatives and priorities as requested by VP GOE





Required Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of applied change management experience
  • Prior experience leading a global effort to apply change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences, and able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong consultative relationship with leaders and business partners to effectively influence, provide guidance and appropriately push back when needed
  • Experience managing others, especially external consultants
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Change management certification (PROSCI preferred)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Masters Degree in Change Management, Organizational Development or related field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
